Evil is hunting you, a fellowship will protect you...
These may sound like over dramatic words when looked at through the lens of our sterile scientific age. How many of us really live this way? Yet deep in our hearts we know something has gone dreadfully wrong with the world and our lives. If you look at the morning paper or evening news through the lens of myth and story you may catch a glimpse of what is really going on. There is a Devil and he is hunting you and you need a fellowship to protect you. If you do not have one, then you are already defeated. Not only in these movies, but in your life. Is there a hero who is ready to come to the rescue in your life? Are you living in an adventure where this hero must show up or all is lost? You see, this is what this movie shows us - there is more going on here than what we are aware of. Read 2 Corinthians 4:18 and you will understand what I'm talking about here. The Lord of the Rings TrilogyTM helps us "see" what's really going on. This was the brilliance of Tolkien; this is the brilliance of our God!
